RobCo Selected for the Inaugural Physical AI Fellowship Powered by AWS, NVIDIA, and MassRobotics
MUNICH — (September 23, 2025) - RobCo today announced it has been selected for the inaugural cohort of the Physical AI Fellowship, a first-of-its-kind program from Amazon Web Services (AWS), NVIDIA, and MassRobotics. The Fellowship accelerates startups building intelligent systems that operate in the physical world, providing deep technical and go-to-market guidance, compute and hardware resources, and access to a global robotics network.
This opportunity will support RobCo’s efforts to develop the next generation of modular, intelligent robots for manufacturing — building toward autonomous “manufacturing agents” that can perceive, adapt, and act without manual programming. In the near term, RobCo is focused on advancing applications like textile handling, bin picking, and assembly, where adaptability is key. By leveraging reinforcement learning in simulation, imitation learning, and synthetic data pipelines, RobCo aims to unlock automation for industries that have so far lacked access to robotics. Hands-on guidance and support from AWS, NVIDIA, and MassRobotics will be invaluable in accelerating this journey.
With access to AWS cloud credits and experts, NVIDIA’s hardware and software stack, and MassRobotics’ testbed and ecosystem, RobCo will expand its simulation and reinforcement learning pipelines, and deploy scalable solutions for diverse industrial automation use cases.
“Our vision is to automate the ordinary so humans can do the extraordinary,” said Roman Hölzl, Founder & CEO of RobCo. “We’re at a pivotal moment for automation, as reshoring initiatives and labor shortages accelerate adoption and the convergence of physical technology and AI drives new possibilities. By combining AWS’s cloud infrastructure, NVIDIA’s AI, simulation and accelerated computing technologies, and MassRobotics’ testbed, we are accelerating the next generation of adaptable, autonomous, and affordable robots.”
Each Fellow will receive $200,000 in AWS credits, embedded support from the AWS Generative AI Innovation Center (GenAIIC) scientists and engineers, access to NVIDIA physical AI development platforms like Isaac, open robotics development platform and NVIDIA Cosmos platform comprising World Foundation Models and data processing pipelines (plus Deep Learning Institute credits and hardware/software discounts), and ecosystem support from MassRobotics. The Fellowship culminates in high-visibility showcases at AWS, NVIDIA, and MassRobotics events, including re:Invent 2025.
